Ummm, don’t make that face.
I’m a soon-to-be 34 year old woman living in Southeastern Wisconsin. I’ve been married to the best husband on Earth for over 13 years. If you do the math you’ll realize I met my soul mate at a young age, and we got married as soon as we could. He keeps me grounded while still being encouraging, truthful and supportive. I love him truly and deeply.
I am also stepmother to a handsome, intelligent, and amazing 16 year old stepson. I thank God everyday that he is a part of my life. I’d like to think that I’ve had a little bit to do with the fact that he’s turned out to be such a confident and kind person. I would never tell him about the things I was doing when I was his age, and I’m not worried about him finding out because he’s way too cool to read this blog.
I also have a 7 year old Labradoodle, Takeo. He is very handsome, very smart, but bores easily:

As a child of the 80s, I am very nostalgic. I remember where I was when I heard that both Michael Jackson and Corey Haim died. I graduated from high school in 1995 which means Pearl Jam, Nirvana, and Snoop make up the soundtrack of my youth. I am lucky to have spent my adolescence during the 90s, but I realize I am getting old. I am. My stepson’s recent i-Tunes purchases included Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, and The Misfits (his dad’s influence) which would be really cool if he didn’t file them in his “Oldies” folder. All I can say about that is:
Kids these days!
I used to walk through six feet of snow to get to school.
Just wait until you have kids of your own, Mister!
I would have gotten away with it if it weren’t for those pesky kids.
Many people start blogs as a forum for their knowledge on a specific topic, as a diary of a special time in their life, or just to show off how fabulous they are. That’s not me. I just like to talk.
The title of my blog comes from the fact that even the most beautiful people in the world can, if even just for a moment in time, make a really, really ugly face:
Exhibit A

Exhibit B

Exhibit C*

Some of my personal likes include, trashy celebrity gossip magazines that I tend to read in my “office”, even trashier reality television (I’m looking at you Snooki), and finding the perfect SNL skits in everyday situations. I also love spending time with my family, including my niece and nephews, hanging out with friends and reading “real” books.
Feel free to check out this blog and see what randomness is flowing through my brain on any given day. I’ll try to narrow it down, but I’m infamous for rambling.
P.S.: I don’t think that Paris Hilton is beautiful. This picture just made me laugh a lot.
*Obviously, Takeo is the only exception to this rule.
